Environment concepts for the Crater area in Off The Grid. This massive site was originally the base for the Teardrop Island space elevator, but it’s been left to rot since the project was scrapped. We pulled a lot of visual DNA from the Buzludzha Monument for this one. There’s something so haunting about that Soviet era UFO-shaped architecture, it was the perfect reference for a space age project that never quite made it to the stars :) Working on environments of this scale is always a challenge, but that’s where our focus on optimization and smart workflows REALLY pays off.
