Punktails - Cute Psychopath

BUCKLE UP - it’s Character Week! We’re kicking things off with Punktails, our resident "cutest psychopath" and a high-speed interceptor who looks like she skipped out of a playground and straight into the BATTLEground 🐰🔪

Usually, you see us dropping serious, cinematic concept art, but we wanted to show off how seamlessly we can pivot into something completely different, also for our character works. This design is a massive departure from our usual works, into something more stylized. We wanted to show that we can push the craft regardless of the ART STYLE, and our concept artist absolutely killed it.

The fun part was seeing how we could adapt our pipeline to handle this kind of stylization. We explored a ton of different directions for this character - from full on cartoon to painterly to something in between. It’s a total FLEX of the craft to see how we can adapt between different styles so seamlessly while keeping the same level of polish and design direction.
