Diaboli - The Face of the Devil (Part 6)

Finally we arrive at the Full Monty. The entire film is building up to a visually iconic moment where we finally see the 1000ft. high Devil himself, made of the bodies of millions of damned.

The goal was to of course make something scary, but with monsters, once you SEE it, it's inherently less scary. We're particularly averse to "monstery monsters" So it took us a few versions to essentially make it more and more subdued and subtle as it was an immense amount of work to make such a simple design work.

In the end it was the flaming arrows that sold the scale. -- and don't forget once you look into his triangle butthole your eyes melt out of your head. (subsequent eye melting concept forthcoming;)
